For this Editor’s Letter to make sense, you first need to read “Letter from the Editor #12” if you haven’t already. This is about the dire warning I put out on this blog on May 7 that the US is in big trouble and people need to leave the country ASAP. Here is my follow-up message to all Americans and Canadians:

I understand that not everybody will be able to leave the country, and although I hope that everything I warned about will not happen, I highly doubt we are that lucky. So the first thing I did was to write an article about how to handle energy, which I am sure will help those who are taking it to heart. For those who have decided to stay, in addition to master your energy, make sure you stock up on food!!! There is most likely going to be a shortage of food and with hyperinflation, a loaf of bread would cost more than people can afford – think hundreds of dollars. The dollar will be worthless and we are facing a similar situation as the Germans faced before WW II. Then add Martial Law to that, which means there will be a 24 hours a day curfew so you won’t be able to go out to the store even if you COULD afford to buy food. (more…)
