NO ONE has the definitive “truth” for ALL of humanity because each individual human is experiencing life from a unique perspective. Wes’ truth is just Wes’ perspective and all of this is his interpretation of what he perceives. It applies to no one except Wes. We cannot “see” through another’s eyes. Wes’ interpretation of events, history, victimization, and prophecy is completely dependent upon his OWN life experiences (i.e. “trauma”, relationships, successes, failures, etc.). It, in no way, should be taken as “gospel” truth for anyone but him. In other words, this is what is playing out in the mind of Wes. This is what he is experiencing. It only becomes an experience for others (or a “truth” for others) when they agree, consciously or unconsciously, to help Wes create this reality for himself and participate in his own imagination space. Wes paints a bleak and dark picture of humanity, but this is not a “truth”. It is a conclusion or a conjecture…it’s speculative. He cannot see beyond or outside of his own perspective (no one can), though, so to point out errors or fallacies in his “dot connecting” will be met with cognitive dissonance. He will choose the fantasy because this is what makes his life “make sense”. Wes has been quoted as saying he is more interested in making the pieces of the puzzle fit rather than if they are TRUE. Read that again. Now, read that AGAIN. He’s creating a fantasy, a story, in which he interprets things in a way to make them “fit” with absolutely NO concern to whether or not those pieces are factual. Red flag.
Wes has set himself up as a “guru”. Sure, he will repeatedly insist that “I am not a guru!”, however, that is not for HIM to say. A true shaman does not call HIMSELF a shaman. The tribe gives that title to him. People are treating Wes as if he is a spiritual master/teacher/guru and he allows it, therefore he is complicit in the worship that he inspires. This is a huge contradiction to his stand against worship, when he, himself, is inspiring worship in others and he does nothing about it except TAKE IT ALL IN. Red flag.
To give praise and thanksgiving to someone, to offer adoration to someone, to elevate someone above others, to pay them TRIBUTE, and to even give OFFERINGS ($$$ donations, income, support, payment for personal access, etc.$$$) to this person is to WORSHIP him. HE ASKS FOR THIS. Red flag.
To allow yourself, in the way that Wes does, the piety to offer “salvation” to humanity in the form of “soulutions” is evidence of his savior complex. (***His need to change words and their meanings, or come up with NEW words all together for his followers to use as “lingo” is a manipulation tactic that cult leaders use, by the way.***) He does not understand that the salvation for each individual is accomplished though the journey. He has basically become responsible for hundreds of souls coming to a complete stand still and just waiting to die so they can look for an escape from this life. Little do they realize (or does HE realize) that they feel the need to escape this life because of the LIFE they are LIVING. It has nothing to do with “overlords”. Salvation only arrives when life has meaning.
